The garden room exceeded my expectations, firstly we were met by Izzy who was very welcoming and helpful. The room felt very private and had a lovely patio outside. The room was tastefully decorated and well laid out and there was plenty of room to relax with a lovely comfy bed and nice quality furniture. Every detail had been thought about and we used the microwave for our breakfast and there was a coffee machine should you want it. Izzy left lots of treats for us and we enjoyed chocolates, biscuits, milk and there were other drinks in the fridge. The bathroom and shower felt luxurious. We parked on the driveway and it was just a walk down the side of the house to the garden room. All in all, a lovely stay.

It was all good, like almost perfect for me. I had an amazing experience, my room view and the location is perfect. Easy access to the harbour to find restaurants and very near to the train station. The weather was bad but because my room has a dashing sea view, we can just stay longer in our room. The sea wave sounds made me sleep better as well. The staff, what can I say, they are all very good, very friendly and accommodating. We had free breakfast too

Carbis Bay offers a serene coastal retreat with stunning views, pristine sands, and crystal-clear waters. Whether lounging by Bread & Breakfast or indulging in gourmet dining, every moment at Carbis Bay is a true delight. However, the hotel's location may require careful planning for those wishing to explore beyond the resort without a car. Overall, Carbis Bay offers a slice of paradise for those seeking a tranquil escape by the sea!

We chose the location for a short autumn break and it suited us because of the easy access to St Ives, Mount’s Bay etc. We also wanted to eat at the Ugly Butterfly as we are very keen on Adam Handling’s food.

Only went to the (lovely) beach once as the hill was so steep to get back up to accommodation near the the main road.
Good location for hopping the bus to St Ives and nice views.
The Cornish Arms pub is a nice spot for dinner/drinks.
Lack of recycling bins.

Heater provided for room as it was a cold day, books to read was a good touch but all the same author ! DVDs to watch an excellent idea , tea and coffee was easy to make in room. , food was great , unfortunately private cottages at rear had barking dogs all night which totally ruined my stay as they were left outside all night barking , this was not the fault of my hosts, and they said they would report to the agents at rear, I would stay again here however and they accommodated my walk in shower wishes which was great

Beautiful white sandy bay with restaurant, bar and toilets.
Beautiful white sandy bay with restaurant, bar and toilets.
Access is via a very steep hill but there is a small car park but costly at £20 a day.
Going down to the beach is fine, but going back up is a struggle, especially in this heat wave we’re currently having!!
A friendly welcome from Adrian on arrival after our long journey from the Midlands for our friends wedding at the nearby Carbis Bay Hotel. Our double room was clean and comfortable with a sea view. Over our 3 day stay we drove to St Ives, Hayle and Penzance, all of which are very beautiful. We could just as easily have caught a bus or the train if we had decided not to travel by car. Would certainly recommend and will be booking again should we return to this area of Cornwall
Exceptional Breakfast. Freshly made muffins, followed by home made Granola, fresh yoghurt and fruits. That was just for starters!! then the main course, Full English, with all food sourced from local companies.
Rowan and Ally were exceptional hosts. They probably have one of the best houses overlooking Carbis Bay.
Nothing is too much trouble, there is a communal fridge full of Beer, Cider and Wine.
Plenty of routes from the property to surrounding beaches.
Spent 2 nights in this lovely beautifully decorated little self contained room with private bathroom and gorgeous patio area exclusively for our use. Lots of tea, coffee, cakes, crisps, milk, chocolates left in a mini fridge for us by the wonderful host Isabela. His and hers dressing gowns was a nice touch too. Comfortable bed. There were even chickens running round. 10 minute walk to Carbis Bay train station and bus stop for St Ives a 5 minute walk away. Tesco neaby too.
The location was superb! The apartment overlooked Carbis Bay Beach which was within walking distance. It was very warm & cosy on the wet days when we needed more heat. Parking was in front of the apartment. Bob & Linda were great hosts & were on hand if we needed anything as they were in the ground floor apartment. First class stay from beginning to finish!! Thank you!
Lovely bright room. Friendly staff. Great facilities, books and DVD'S. Very clean. Food delicious with big portions. Big Tesco a short drive away, no other shops nearby however Lelant train station 300 yards behind hotel that goes to St Ives and Carbis Bay. Really easy to use, only £2. Free car park. Superb. Thank you so much.
Amazing Staff and wonderfull breakfast options with cereals, fruits, yogurts and different options of pastry. Nice and clean rooms as well :)
It is quite a down hill walk to the Carbis Bay Beach, but not far! Also a 40 min walk to St Ives through the SW Costpath.
Breakfast excellent, location fine as close to lovely Carbis Bay though immediate area rather depressing as among council-house type buildings.
Found the interior decor depressing too! Outside patio/garden was great.
Very cool, authentic, old pub, which I loved. The patrons and staff were very friendly. I felt like I was staying at a neighborhood hangout, not a hotel.
The restaurant/pub is wonderful.
Fantastic location, on the coastal path , one way to StIves the other to Carbis bay, beautiful surroundings, some building work next door but we were out all day so wasn’t too bad
The hotel was along the highway, near Tesco, and also the bus station. There is an access foot path going to the beach for 7-10 mins walk and it just across the hotel.
